Hip Hip Hooray for Madeline!

If you have been following my blog you will know that we have played along with Tamar (A Collection of Thoughts) and Mel (One Crafty Mumma) for the Hip Hip Hooray series (the latest one: Hip Hip Hooray for Winter was a few weeks ago)
We made a few things during that week and have a few more to make when time permits.

Last Friday (29/07) Tamar did a post about Reader's Creations on her blog and my Madeline is featured in the blog post HERE.
Madeline was quite chuffed about it! And I am a proud mumma!
Thanks Tamar - you made our day!

Today is Day 3 for Hip Hip Hooray for Winter - by Tamar from Tarisota and Mel from One Crafty Mumma
The posts go up on both blogs at 7pm (Australian time) from July 18 to July 22.
Hurry over and join in! (sorry about the late posting)
Here is what Madeline and I made from Day 1 and she snuggled up in bed with it that night!
Let me know if you join in.

Monday's Show and Tell

Today I'm sharing a gift I made for Madeline for Easter from Hip Hop Hooray for Easter

Madeline clapping her hands with excitement!

I used a plastic 12-hole tray from a box of meringues with some raffia (Tamar used a disposable 6-hole muffin tray - instructions here)

I added a special birthstone angel, some scrapbooking cardboard letters, scrapbooking clips, some special 50 cent pieces, and, of course, Easter eggs!

Wrapped with clear cellophane and curling ribbon - this made an extra special gift for an extra special girl!

Already planning on using this idea for gifts for other celebrations.

Have a look at Cookies and Cream Craft to see who else has Show and Tell today.

Easter Bunny came to our house!!

Madeline prepared this for Easter Bunny

Madeline was very busy during the week stitching this "Bunny Mug Rug" from
Hip Hop Hooray for Easter

Both Mel and Tamar made this project and Mel's very detailed and easy to follow instructions are here

Busy stitching
Finished Bunny Mug Rug
Madeline wanted to make it a bit bigger than the original pattern and wanted to have a hot pink felt bunny.
After she traced the template, cut the bunny out of felt and blanket-stitched the bunny on, I quilted it  and then I taught her how to hand sew the binding.
Well done Madeline!

Hip HOP Hooray for Easter

"Home decor, cooking, fun links, stitching , papercrafting a little vintage and a little mod all thrown in together"

Beginning on April 18 Tamar (tarisota) and Mel (one crafty mamma) are running the third in a series of Hip Hip Hooray projects. This one has an Easter theme.
For 5 days there are tips and projects for the children (and some things for parents too!)
Go and have a look at these blogs - they are two of my favourites.

My daughter and I have participated in the first two of the series (Hip Hip Hooray for Holidays and Hip Hip Hooray for Valentines) The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow.

A felt flower, a bottlecap pincushion, a cupcake magnet and an owl notepad were just some of the projects that my daughter made for Hip Hip Hooray for the Holidays.
