Monday's Show and Tell
I recently participated in my first Mug Rug Swap at Christmas Quilting Block Swap Australia and wanted to show you what I made for my swap partner Kathy and what I received. Kathy and I had never made a mug rug before - I think we both did a wonderful job!!
I followed this tutorial from Patchwork Notes to make my mug rug
See who else has Show and Tell with Sandy at Cookies and Cream Craft today.
And don't forget about my 2000 page views giveaway which I posted on Sunday August 14 (drawn Wednesday August 24 evening - my 6 month anniversary of blogging!) Leave me a comment - I love to hear from you.

As I was looking at my blog this afternoon my total page views went from 1999 to 2000! I was thrilled!
I want to thank everyone of you for looking, commenting and following my blog. It has given me a lot of enjoyment and has been a great way to keep track of, and journal about, my creations and life.
In celebration - I think it is time for a GIVEAWAY !!!!

This is an A5 spiral journal with a cover that I have made from Janelle Wind's "Pieces of Me" book. I made it especially with butterfly material as 'Vanessa' means butterfly.
Please leave me a comment about what things you enjoy about my blog and I will randomly draw one winner next Tuesday 24 August 2011 (Whirling Butterfly's 6 month anniversary) - Oops I mean Wednesday 24 August!!

Monday's Show and Tell
I have been saving this to share with you for Monday's Show and Tell with Sandy at Cookies and Cream Craft.
This is my Santa Sack I received from my swap partner Geniene
Oh my goodness - what a lot of work she has done for me! I just LOVE my Santa Sack!
I am very impressed by her stitching and her colour choice. And he certainly is a Jolly Old St Nick!
I was VERY excited when I opened my parcel! Lots of presents (2 for July and 2 for August) which I did not poke or squeeze!
Look at these beautiful butterflies (and chocolates too!) - she knows me well
I have put my presents in my Santa Sack and will add more presents from Geniene every month until Christmas. Then I can open them all!!
If you missed my earlier post about the Santa Sack I sent to Geniene - it is HERE
Have a look at Cookies and Cream Craft to see who else has some Show and Tell today.

Hip Hip Hooray for Madeline!
If you have been following my blog you will know that we have played along with Tamar (A Collection of Thoughts) and Mel (One Crafty Mumma) for the Hip Hip Hooray series (the latest one: Hip Hip Hooray for Winter was a few weeks ago)
We made a few things during that week and have a few more to make when time permits.
Last Friday (29/07) Tamar did a post about Reader's Creations on her blog and my Madeline is featured in the blog post HERE.
Madeline was quite chuffed about it! And I am a proud mumma!
Thanks Tamar - you made our day!

UFO Thursday
Sandy from Cookies and Cream Craft has asked a question today "what is your oldest UFO?"
So I scratched around my UFO box and found this one that I had forgotten I had. The pattern was written in 1996 so I think it has been in my possession since about then!! 15 years!! No way! I'm surprised the bits are still stuck on as I've hardly stitched any on.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has any 'old' UFO's sitting in their box/cupboard.
Visit Sandy at Cookies and Cream Craft to see who else has some 'old' UFO's that they are sharing today and link up so we can see yours!
